Default Ugh.. I hate Microsoft... Any idea on how to convince them to sell me a warranty?

So I'm calling in to extend my 360 warranty another year.. but apparently my warranty expired a few days ago and they refuse to sell me the warranty now.

I had an Outlook calender item to remind me to call, and it says it expires December 4th. I made it when I purchased the extended warranty last year.

So no matter how I explain it they just repeat the same thing back; we can't do it because it's out of warranty, even though they're the ones that told me it expired on Dec 4th.

Talking to them is like talking to that eliza program.

I'm on hold, any ideas on how to convince them to sell me a warranty?

Tell them you're outside the call centre with 10 kilos of C4 strapped to your ass?

Honestly though, I really dont know. The truth is that they are the evil empire. They can essentially do whatever the hell they want.

Lol, at one point she says the agent who told me December 4 would be reprimanded. I called her on it saying if they did, then that's an admission that they were wrong and they should sell me the warranty, and if they didn't then they're just lying to me to get me off the phone.

So I do what they tell me and just because I was told the wrong information I can't buy a warranty. Great customer service; policies are to prevent abuse, not to punish honest customers.

Tell them you will buy a PS3. Then threaten to shove your 360 down their cocksucking throat.

I thought MS extended the warranty to 3 years for all "Ring of Death" failures. Wouldn't this pertain to you?

Yeah, that's just for the RRoD.. I guess I'll just have to hope that if it fails it fails with that and not some other problem.

Now I feel motivated to mod my 360. Don't sell me a warranty, miss out on my $$ for games

You should approach this issue with the Better Business Bureau. Microsoft is a member of that and they're obligated to address your issue when you report it through there.

My brother's Xbox Live expired 10 months earlier than it should have and he called and they said they couldn't do anything about it (practically called him a liar). When he finally filed a complaint through the BBB (after a month of calling support), they managed to resolve the problem.

I must be reading too much craigslistR&R. That word didn't even register until you pointed it out.

You're a smart guy, you know how to make your X-Box red ring of death and force them to replace it when it comes time.
