Default Car Help Question

So I woke up and tried to start my car with my remote starter. It wouldn’t work, so I bundled up and went out to my car to start it. To my surprise, it wouldn’t start!!! I didn’t leave the lights on last night. In fact, I was able to turn my headlights and interior lights on. However, when I tried starting it, I get a faint attempt at it. Seems like my car is trying to start but its struggling to. Like the battery is dying, but not quite dead yet. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Was it too cold? I find that odd since its been a lot colder and my car has started fine last winter and the winter before that. Do I need a new battery? I got home at midnight last night and the car was running just fine. Should I buy an extension cord and plug my car in overnight from now on? Is that a solution? Buy a car battery warmer? Thanks in advance everyone!!!

First thing I would do is hook up the battery charger and see what you have. Alternatively take the battery out and have it checked.

How old is the Battery??? I replace mine every five years or so to avoid the inevitable "it won't start on a cold day scenario"

Probably a pooched battery.. Plugging it in wouldnt have helped much, it would have made it easier to turn over but only slighty... Your best bet is to yank it out and take it to autovalue or part source for a load test..

Its a 2002 (RSX), which I bought privately in 2004. So I would guess its the same battery in there since it was built.

Time to get a new battery??

Take it out and get it load tested. Chances are the battery is on it's last legs.

- get the battery charged and tested
- make sure the terminals are clean, then coated with petroleum jelly, and on there tight

even though you had interior lights, etc, it may be that the battery didn't have enough umph to start the car.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
