All I can say is Wow. Thank god they were wrong.
Love the part that says "With teletype interface and fortran language, the computer will be easy to use"
Love the big ships wheel on it.

Sweet! I'm guessing the big silver wheel on the left is for playing GTA or other similar games.
What's with this guy's weird black mohawk hair?

That wheel is there to crush viruses and spyware
Could you imagine using this thing on the internet, everytime you go to a new page or hit refresh it would have to print the page out

No way, look at the Hi-Tech TV up on the wall. I hear that by the year 2004, most homes will have, Get this, colour tv's and they may even be as big as 21 inc screens. WOW, the wonders of modern science

that's what i used to think.
quite a demand, these days, for fortran programmers.
i mean it's not like there is for java programmers, but there is actually a demand.
and it's not all for ancient y2k-non-compliant bank software, either!
i used to laugh at comp-sci students i knew taking that stuff...
as for the topic at hand i wonder what we think now of the future that is way off kilter.
like, will there be a silk cable to space, eliminating the need for space shuttles etc.?
will nanotechnology/advanced microbe alteration eliminate complex garbage?
will reality television EVER end?

Whatever, the wheel is to hand wind the power supply to the 1.1 kliobytes per minute modem. Kinda like the one on my current laptop.

So it IS the control room for the "new" Canadian sub...
The wheel must power the fire supression system that failed....looks like the Brits did a cut and paste job to put it on the left hand from the traditional British right hand drive, in order to ease Canadian fears.....and the cut and paste job left it functionlesss...
