I think I know what should go in the old Countdown to Home Opener box!

I think we should have a Flames Heat Meter graphic. When we are on a cold streak like now, it could be an icey blue frozen C logo, and when we are hot, it could be on fire! When we're average it could just be normal. I just don't know if we could use the official C or not, but I'm sure we could come up with something. I was thinking about putting something like this as my changing avatar but I thought it might be cool there.

The beauty of it is, it would only have to be changed like once or twice a week, and it would be a simple change in url reference.

Something along these lines would be cool I think, because right now it's just open space.

What do you think?

I'm pretty sure we issued a perma ban to the last person who suggested the Flames logo should be blue.

Other than that, not a bad idea.

Hahaha, you know what I mean- it would still be red... but just all icy and cold! Don't ban me!

I'll whip something up in photoshop when I get home and see if I can change your mind about the blueness.

You could have an official formula related to points in the last 5 or 10 games as to not coming off as an opinion but rather fact.

ATR - check out the Flames playoff opening video from late in the playoff campaign in 2004. The video was set to Evenesence music and opened with a Frozen Flaming 'C' blue and all. Should be somewhere on YouTube.

Whether a team is hot or not isn't really a matter of opinion, it's a matter of the last 5 games. That being said, if the mod's popular opinion is not to have a scale, so be it.
