Buying a jersey- so many decisions to make!

I'm planning to buy a new Flames jersey for myself, but it isn't as simple as it used to be for me.

I'm wondering when the new jerseys will come out that utilize the old fabric. Even though it's only a replica I'm getting, the current replicas still look really slim. Not to my liking.

Then, I could just buy a good old 03' red home jersey. A definite possibility.

Everyone, chip in your two cents (literally I wish!) and help me decide: New vs Old vs wait for new/old combo jersey.

Also, where is the best place to buy a jersey online? I want a good price, but I hear some places use cheap fabric.

No guarantee there will be a combo jersey issued for replicas. If you like the old ones, buy an old one. If you can find it

I re-numbered my '03 Authentic rather than buying a new jersey. I dont like the new ones. I went from Leopold to Phanuef.

If I had to buy a brand new one, I would definately buy an Authentic version and not a replica. The replica's have a slit on the side seem at the bottom of the shirt - much like a golf shirt. That drives me crazy. To me, it looks so silly on a hockey jersey. The Authentic's dont have that slit.

I believe the current replica's aren't made of the new fangled Edge material, but the same old stuff as before. They've also retained the old cut (ie not slim) given the less than athletic physique of your average fan. The sleeves fit freakishly long on the new jerseys though.

My biggest issue with the new jerseys has to do with the Flags. On the replicas they look like something somebody found in a kids sticker book; as opposed to the authentic ones which has sewn on flags made from some sort of material.

If they could put two enbroydered horse heads on the old replicas for $110, you would think $140 would get me one of similar quality.

Good luck finding an 03 Koho one though. In fact, you'll be lucky to find an 06 CCM one that was made in Canada.

Buy off of E-bay for the current replicas. They are selling for $90 plus shipping so it effectively can cost the same as the old replicas should you want a new one instead. Also you can get lettered ones on e-bay for $150 plus shipping, way cheaper than the Fan Attic or jersey city.
