Frig, out shoot the Leafs 32 - 25 and still get whooped. The third line sucked with Bonk in there for Reasoner. Thankfully WDF Metropolit scored to prevent the shutout.

Thrashers played a very good first 2 periods, not so great 3rd and beat the Canucks 5-3. Good to see the 3rd and 4th lines contribute with 4 out of the 5 goals today. Darryl Sydor is quietly having an outstanding year on defense with 24 points now. 6 straight wins for the Thrashers! We get right back at it tomorrow with a game vs a good NY Islanders squad.

SAAAAAAWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!
Jackets win baby!!! JS Aubin does it again off the bench. Unfortunately the Lightning also won today so we're still chasing them. But I think with todays win we've officially given the Jets the top pick in the draft.

In other news, Ducks lose a close on to the Pens, they are a tough team but we gotta get better at home I think we lost the last 3.

Solid win - balanced scoring and a lot of shots. The club still needs to work on its finish though - not cashing in on enough chances.

How about the Devils' defense, and Josh Harding, the amazing Devils backup, winning his first game for his new team.

Leafs Beat B's 6-1.
Second straight excellent showing by the Leafs. Tonight the B's did outshoot us, but Lundqvist was excellent and only let 1 by him out of 32 faced.
Offensively the top 2 lines scored all the goals. Not sure if that's good or bad, but if only 2 lines are going to score it might as well be the better ones. A couple guys had multiple points including Henrik Tallinder with a goal and 3 assists.
Leafs will play the Oilers on Sunday and then have off until next weekend.

well Sabres weather the storm in a good goaltending battle. Undefeated in 4 games with alot of regulars on the shelf is ok by us. Reinprecht and Devries are both 99% healthy now, and should both be back in the lineup soon.
Look for the Sabres to make a major announcement regarding a significant CPHL milestone over the weekend.

Big game by the Spezza-Jokinen Duo. It si now official the Pens are playing with 4 offensive players and a bunch of space fillers. The quartet of Thornton, Jokinen, Spezza, Hemsky are all among the league leaders, the rest of the team sucks. Great to see Markov back as he has been our top D all year, Chelios and Jovo have stepped up lately, and the team is much better since Lehtonen has been between the pipes.

Woof!
Well tonight was a combined shutout for Toskala and Danis. Vesa left the game at 13:37 of the 2nd period when Kristian "The Lumberjack" Huselius was waving his stick around like he was trying to flag down a cab.
With the score 3-0 at the time, the Detroit fans thought a comeback was imminent as Yann Danis came into the game. In fact the complete opposite happed, Yann stopp 10 of 10 shots and the Yotes tallied twice more.
Led by the Red hot Combo of Prospal and Rucinsky the Coyotes move into 2nd place in the Howe. Prospal didn't have a shot on net but added 4 assists to his stats (now tied for the league lead with 18), while Rucinsky added 2 more goals.
Toskala took the high stick to the face, there is swelling around his right eye, but no real damage. We'll see in the morning how it is, Freddy may be back on the bench next game. The Coyotes have tomorrow off and then host the Jets on Sunday before a 5 day break.

Sharks continue their streak of SUCK! Having the TB 1st round pick made this game that much more important and we managed another regulation loss. Hopefully adding Allen to the blue line will help things out back there as we're in need of something...anything...to give this team a boost.

Well, first I couldnt get Turco to take a night off. Now I cant get him to play. For the first time in a long time all my players are healthy. Now I just have to figure out how to get them all in the lineup. Stupid sim!

The Preds came out with the addition of Niedermayer tonight and looked solid top to bottom. Special mention to Miroslav Satan with a hat-trick! Most importantly though Thibault got the start and won a game.
(Thanks for all of the mucking around to get the lines to work Grant!)

A nice win over the Islanders at home tonight by a score of 5-3. Kovalchuk finally starts to wake up with a first star performance. Pretty even game shot wise where the Kings had to hold off a late Islanders charge in the 3rd period. A day off for the Kings up next.

Hey Jiri, did you get my lines okay or were they submitted too late? I had intended to start Lalime this game, doesn't look like the line changes took effect. Let me know if I did something wrong. EDIT: Whoops, seems I sent to cphlllines@yahoo.com instead of cphllines@yahoo.com.
As for the game, the Oilers outshot the Rangers 38-26 and yet lost 6-5 in OT. Lalime comes in cold at the end of regulation to spell off Brodeur and not surprisingly gives up the OT winner on only his 3rd shot against of the game. A disappointing outcome, the team will be looking for a much better defensive performance next outing.

Well, didn't exactly expect to beat the very tough Kings and the score actually makes things look better than they were. Hedberg having a rough go this season picking up his 4th loss of the season in 5 starts.
Ward is expected to start tomorrow against Atlanta, while Jagr remains sidelined with an injury.
