Rumours suggest that after boasting the best Centre ice depth in the CPHL that the Oilers have dealt David Legwand to the Wild along with Andre Roy for Radek Dvorak and Samuel Pahlsson. It's speculated that Sylvanfan was shocked when he showed up to get Andre Roy at the bus station saw the big man shaking the Coke machine and cursing it out for taking his toonie. After Sylvanfan managed to settle him down he noticed that Roy had a suitcase full of toy cars and inquired if anywhere had Speed Racer. Knowing that Roy wouldn't fit in with his current team and determined to make sure this nut never saw the glorious ice of Rexall Place Sylvanfan dealt him off to the Wild where only a couple of quarters are required to buy a Coke, and they do indeed have Speed Racer on T.V.
Sylvanfan also offered the following comments on his new aquisitions. "Radek is a very talented player with speed to burn. I've always been impressed with him every time I've watched him play, and he's a guy who will play hard at both ends of the ice. We feel that with the likes of Spezza, Weiss, Staal, Carter, Schremp, Goc, and Poulliot in our system at the centre ice position that we are able to move Dave Legwand for some help on the wings. Sammy brings versatility and good defensive abilities to our club. He's able to play both centre and the left side, and will likely be our 4th line centre between Hemsky, and Frolov. He helps us by playing up the middle now, but can switch over to the wings when one of our prospects is ready to move to the CPHL. We also feel that he does bring us better long term potential. With 6 games in the next 7 nights, and having played 3 in the previous 4 this hockey team needs all the fresh bodies it can handle!!"
