Default My Flames Room

My wife gave me a really cool birthday present - she painted our office in Flames colors. That sort of thing is hard to hide, so I helped. Below are a few pics

The hardest part was doing the stripes. But it wasn't that bad using a laser level.

We used the Calgary Flames colors from Home Depot. We used primer on the wall first. It took 2 coats for the black, white and yellow stripes. After the second coat of red we thought it was going to look terrible. After the third it looked much better and it was done after 4 coats. We had to do a lot of touch ups by the window, closet and door since some of the paint would come off when we took the tape of at those spots.

Sweet. I was thinking about doing the same in our garage, and then adding the Flames logo as well...

Any particular reason you did the stripes at the top instead of the bottom (I have no interior designs skills so I have no idea - sorry!).

We just thought the stripes would be more noticeable at the top. That's the only reason. We were thinking of trying to do them in a v shape like in the old jersey but thought that would be too hard.

Thanks, Dion!

Also room looks great, I was thinking of doing that in my jersey room. But there is one problem I am way to lazy to do it

Have a look at what a Habs fan did to his basement. Who knows, you might get some ideas from what this person did.

So the gift was the fact she allowed you to do it? I love gifts that have some assembly required, haha.

Still reminds me of that Vancouver fan who decorated his condo while his wife was away.

Having said that... looks good man... my Hall of Flame isn't quite up to snuff yet, but it will be one day.

I definitely like your room.Just add a few flaming C's I don't know if anyone has thought of this. I'm planning on getting a house(well have been planning on it for the last 2 years). And I'd love to have the basement as home theater> What i'd like to do with the walls is have the team logo of all 30 teams surrounding an nhl logo and stanely cup, or something like that. I just will need to find a poor gifted acad student who has knack with paints and can work within my budget. Although I think it would be pretty expensive and detailed work with all the different colors. But If anyone ahs anything like that ..can they take a pic and throw it on this thread..
