Default Saskatchewan Votes

Actually a bit surprised that nobody came up with a thread on this yet. Will the NDP get kicked out of power after 16 years? Will the Saskatchewan Party get in and form government for the first time ever?

They need a change. Sixteen years of NDP leadership has taken a toll on Saskatchewan. There won't be any taxpayers left in the province if something isn't done.

Well Stranger I think that your perception of Saskatchewan is a few years old, as Sask is booming with the population actually increasing, with more people moving from Alberta to Sask than the other way they past several months.
There will however be a change. The networks have declared a Sask Party majority, although how much of a shift depends on a few ridings in Saskatoon and Regina.

I know things have reversed some recently, but its more to do with the cost of living in Alberta, then what the NDP have done for Sask. Either way good to see a change may be in order.

Published: Wednesday, November 07, 2007

The centre-right Saskatchewan Party took power in Saskatchewan Wednesday night, edging out the governing New Democrats in a closely-fought election campaign.

As of 10 p.m. ET the Saskatchewan Party was leading or elected in enough seats to give it a solid majority, ousting the New Democrats after 16 years in power.
