Default Last minute all inclusive resorts

Hey all,
So I am looking at going to an all inclusive resort in the second week of December to either Mexico, DR, or Cuba. I am not too particular but I would like the best deal possible and a fairly nice resort 4+ stars. Is it best to wait a week or two to book? I have never done a last minute deal, any suggestions or experiences?

Thanks in advance CP!

there is a number of last minute specials that come up at the last minute.
right now, you can get away to a 4 star resort per person, based on double occupancy for about $700.00 plus taxes. and thats also based on your criteria of departing in the second week of december. If thats too expensive for you, then you can certainly wait a bit, because from what I can see, you arent too fussy about which sun destination you go to.
the one I mention is in Cuba.

sorry, I assumed a Calgary departure.

Yeah, it would be Calgary departure.

I would be willing to spend about $1000 after taxes so I am not too fussy although I like there to be internation drinks and a direct flight.

One other thing is that I definitely read the reviews on trip advisor and that plays a pretty big role as to where I will go to although I do recognize that you cannot please everyone.

these would be package deals that would include a direct flight.
your package would be flight, hotel, transfers, all meals and drinks at the resort.
I am confident you will be able to find something last minute. One question i would have for you is are you travelling alone or with someone because pricing is based on double occupancy. If you are travelling alone, the price may be slightly higher.
Now, the alternative is, if you want to go and find a place that you really like, you may wish to consider booking it now, prices are decent and then you are assured of getting the place you want. if that is not a concern to you, then I personally think you can hold off a bit and probably save yoruself another 100 bucks or so.

feel free to PM me for any further information.
