How the CFL treat it's (ex-)players?
How about the NHL? Are they any better?

I love watching the game, but there's no way in hell I'd want to play it. Putting on a helmet and running as fast as you can into a wall is pretty much it.

Upshaw makes Goodenough sound like Santa Claus.

The NHL used to treat their players like this back in the day, when it was the old boys club (see: Net Worth). I'm hoping they don't currently.

This is a long article, but definitely worth reading for football fans. Mods, maybe move this to the other sports section.
