Default Hockey pool question?

Is a site like...

http://www.pickuphockey.com/

Worth the trouble if its free?

I got some interest from friends of mine to start up a pool(not Yahoo)...and I'm wondering if I can get by with a free pool manager, or if I should pay 20 bucks for something like this...

hockeydrafts.ca

I've used that site for hockey pools in the last 3 years.

Trust me, it's a great site

http://www.officepools.com/

is what me and my buddies are using this year. It's free if you sign up before Nov. 7th 2007. No complaints so far, pretty complete in my opinion.

According to the website it's only free until November 7th, not after. "First three weeks free" it says, after that you'll have to pay. That site has been run like that for a long time. 2 years ago we ran a pool through their website and the guy who set it up didn't pay and after the free trial we didn't know who was winning until he finally sent the money in.

lol really? This is the first time we've used it, so I guess we're in for a surprise if that's true. I'm doing so poorly anyways, it might be a great way to sweep this embarassment under the rug. Stupid Gomez and Cheechoo!

We use pickuphockey as well and I like it. The only glitch sometimes is it can take a while to update and it doesn't show live stats like officepools but you get what you pay for and if it's free, I ain't complaining.
