Player of the week: Brian Rolston. Rolston had 4 goals, 4 assists, 8 points and is amongst the league leaders at his position

unsung hero of the week: Ruslan Fedotenko 3 goals 5 assists 8 points. Fedotenko saw his OV ranking fall this summer and it was thought he would play a supporting role on the team this year, but he's been huge on the 2nd and 3rd lines

For Unsung hero the Jackets nominate Doug Murray. Toiling in the AHL for the Jets he was acquired mid week due to injuries to Brian Pothier and Ladislav Smid. As a result the team had 3 defenceman who's CON ratings were below 100 and needed someone to play minutes on the backend. Doug Murray came up and had an immediate impact scoring goals in both games he played and logging 21 and 23 minutes of ice time for the Jackets. The kicker is that these contributions helped the Jackets win our first two games of the season. We feel that Murray and his 67 OV rating and zero career goals or games in the CPHL prior to this week represent the true spirit of what this award is.

For goal we ask that Anterro Nittymaki be considered.
In 4 games he posted a modest 1-1-1-1 record with a 2.16 GAA and a .921 Sv.%. He got us a win over the Wild and kept us in two straight games against Nashville. We had a lot of injuries to our defence and had to play guys like Matt Roy, Nolan Baumgartner over 20 minutes a game for the entire week.

Crappiest player of the week.

Stephen Weiss in 5 games he averaged 22 minutes a game scored 0 goals, had 1 asssist and was -9 for the week! We even put him on the third line and PP for the last couple games and he still sucked arse.
