Beat Niq in the Grain Exchange building on 1st SW between 8th and 9th often has live jazz. It is a cool place. http://www.beatniq.com/

I was going to suggest a quiet time at either the clinic on 8th or around the corner at the Crack Macs--either will definitely impress.
