Larry Brooks is reporting trade talks between the Edmonton Oilers and Detroit Red Wings are heating up. Last night at the Detroit game vs Chicago the Oilers had two of there top pro scouts in attendance. Although unconfirmed at this point it is belived both clubs after sub par starts to the season are looking to rid themselfs of some dead weight. Although neither side will comment on the matter Larry belives a deal has been struck and could be made public as soon as the damn server becomes available!

The Bruins Scouting Staff have heard rumours that the Wings are disapointed with the performance of ex-Bruin Vinny Lecaviler. Head Bruins Scout Horney MacIntyre had this to say, "Ahh HA HA HA HA HA."

The Edmonton Sun is also reporting that there could be a tentative deal in place between the Oilers and Red Wings. It is believed that communication problems caused by a storm in Nova Scotia are the major hangup in completing a potential transaction between last years 1-2 finishers in the Howe conference. Assinine as it may sound to hear that the Oilers would make two trades in a year let alone a week, it is believed that the source is credible. After Mondays game with the Kings it was believed that the Oilers were seeking an anti-Hatcher weapon.

Don't use Edmonton and Nova Scotia in the same context, it makes me feel dirty!

To quote premier Klein when talking about health care premiums (from the provincial capital EDMONTON) "Thank god we're not Nova Scotia"
