Default Where to park Near McMahon

Anyone have any good tips on parking near McMahon for the game tomorrow. Years ago I had season tix and a parking pass, then I always rode the LRT., But I am driving tomorrow. They is No Parking in McMahon without a parking pass right?
That being established any secrets on where to park that fairly close and I won't get towed?

Cheers

I usually park in the Art Parkade at the University. $4.50 to park there (I think, I haven't gone to a game this year) and a relatively short walk to the stadium.

It is supposed to be a fairly nice day out. Typically, I like to park at Brentwood station and walk down through the U of C. Only takes about 20 minutes or so, and is a nice walk with the path system and trees on campus.

Try that parking lot by the mgmt building at UC.

I like to park in the neighborhood off 24th & McMahon (no idea what it's called...across Crowchild from the University). Have parked there the last few years without any problems.

The Volleydome for $5 is nice as well.

thanks guys. I'm going to try just due west of McMahon on University Dr. And see how that goes and work my way over to the otherside of Crowchild until I find something. thx

That won't work...you definitely need a parking pass in that area...go East of the Stadium.

Another great option is just southeast of Crowchild and 16th Ave... fewer people park there, so you can usually get closer to the stadium than if you go straight east of the stadium.

Another option is just park at William Aberhart high school and walk. It is on Morley Trail and the walk to McMahon is only about 10-15 minutes. With the weather we have today it wouldn't be bad at all. I usually just park in and around there or even in the parking lot and walk to the game.

Lot 32 at the U of C is your best bet. Its something like $3.75, but its only a 5 minute walk.

Damn you! I lived in Patrician Village, a large Boardwalk complex in that area, for 6 years. Owing to a variable work schedule, I would often arrive home after work while a Stamps game was well underway and could not find anywhere to park near my house. It was pretty annoying for me albeit perfectly legit for you guys. I'm sure the city made a fortune from all the tickets they wrote to people parking longer than permitted though.

What must be really annoying is for people who actually own homes in the area and have people parked in their alley or blocking their drive way.

I don't recall there ever being a Stamps game that would be affected by the time restrictions. Most of the signs limit parking to 2 hours between 9-6 Monday-Friday. So even if I get there at 5:30 and leave at 10:30; I only parked during the restricted time for 1/2 an hour.

The best spots sported those signs. Others were restricted to 2 hours any time. Anyone who parked in those spots would surely find a ticket when they got back.

The only consolation I got during the long walk from my car to my apartment was seeing the parking enforcement people driving around marking tires and writing tickets.
