Default Best place to catch a Flames game in Okotoks?

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a place to watch the Flames game this Saturday in Okotoks. I'm not at all familiar with the town... any suggestions of a great sports bar/pub?

Outside of the Gaylord Centre- I'm not sure of anywhere else on the planet you can watch it this Saturday.

Oh that's right, this game isn't on TV anywhere. I guess I'll be watching Crosby and the Maple Leafs then the Oilers and Canucks on CBC. For future reference are there any good sports bars in Okotoks?

I live in Okotoks. Not an abundance of sports bars for sure. Decent place to watch the game is Boston Pizza lounge. Other than that, there is a decent pub on Elizabeth St. The name escapes me but you can't miss it, right next door to the Big Rock Inn.
I have Centre Ice at home with a 46" Sony Wega. Come on over anytime.

The guide for my Center Ice (Shaw) has this game listed. Is that incorrect?

Yeah, and Star Choice also has a channel mapped for that game. The problem is; as it stands right now nobody is televising the game. Which means if there's no feed for Shaw to pick up, there's nothing to show.

As well, most sports bars will have Expressvu- as they have had CI and NFL-ST for years. And Bell shows the game in their list as "This game is not televised."

FWIW- when Bell was new to CI they would often show games on their website, but then not have them on. Maybe one of the growing pains of being new to the service?

Apparently... that's too bad. Was kinda looking forward to it. I certainly didn't get center ice for the purpose of seeing more Flames games, I understand it's for people out of their teams broadcasting region. Just was a nice suprise to see it there.. and now you've crushed my spirit ken, thanks alot.

Palavina's (or it used to be called)...it used to be the Lazy L way back when I was going to highschool in Okotoks. The bullpen isn't really a good place to watch games, my only suggestion really would be BP's or the George

The bar on Elizebeth street is called 'grand central' bar and cafe. It's actually an awesome place to watch a Flames game. We watched the home opener there, they have about 10 brand new samsung plasma/lcd hi def tv's there, and the picture is incredible (unlike a lot of small bars that splurge on hi def tv's, but then don't bother getting a hi def signal). There was also a lot of Flames fans there for that one. Combine that with 30cent wings on thursday/friday nights (good wings) and $3.50 pints, and you've got yourself a great place to watch a Flames game.

pS the only downside is that Thursday nights are Karaoke nights there. So at the start of the third, the people running the Karoeke and a bunch of their friends (most likely brought out to make it look like the Kareoke was a huge hit) all showed up, turned the music up loud and started destroying songs, even though EVERY single other person in the bar was there to watch the Flames game. We talked to our waitress, and she said there was nothing they can do, because the Karoeke was scheduled and people were being paid for it. So the third period was a bit distracting, watching the Flames with no sound, while people ripped apart all the cliche Karaoke hits. The best part of that Karaoke was when the Flames scored while someone was singing (and thinking everyone was wacthing him and enjoying him) and the entire bar jumped up and cheered like crazy, drowning him out.
