No need to worry, it is only their characters that are shooting and stabbing each other there, it is just like an Arnold movie.

Before you guys get carried away on your rants and dislike for the hip hop community, get your facts straight. No one was shot. Someone was allegedly stabbed during a tussle. http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=3748

Suge Knight is a joke now anyway. The artists on his label all blow. Now he is just a washed up locsta and should get the hell out of hip hop.

So if its just the rappers that are criminals and are degrading to society because they are "criminals" than how come these guys have no problem being respected artists?
- Johnny Cash arrested for bringing 1,163 pills across mexican borders in a guitar case on October 4th, 1965
-Rolling Stone Keith Richards arrested in Toronto, Canada with his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg for possession of heroin. Found guilty at trial over one year later, he manages to get off with a suspended sentence plus benefit concerts for the blind. In 1977.
-1967 - Keith Richards, Brian Jones & Mick Jagger arrested on drug charges
- November 1961 Ray Charles is arrested in Indeanapolis for Drug charges. He had also been arrested 2 other times for the same offence.
-Janis Joplin arrested after a concert for inciting a riot and harrassing a police officer.
All people not associated with the word criminal but yet still most R&B amd Hip Hop artists who don't have a criminal record are accused of being a criminal. Can someone explain this to me. (Without using because thats what they call themselves or what they rap about because thats another stereotype of the whole genre)

Oh yeah that's right I forgot, rappers are all decent respectable people.
Those wonderfully artistic songs they sing about about raping women, robbing, using drugs, and killing, really reinforce your point.

i love hip-hop(rap is sh** but thats another topic)
but johnny cash, ray charles, keith richards never killed anyone, shot anyone, or carried a loaded weapon....................its not DISCRIMINATION my friend, its that drug abuse is not viewed as harshly(as it shouldnt be) as weapon charges, assault and murder. Sorry thats life pal.

wasn't calling it discrimination more so the whole snobbish point of view that rap and hip hop is crap and rock is the cats sh*t. And I'm sure if I were to look into it more I could find just as many gun, knives and other charges for rock artists. Also to point out discrimination though, since most Hip Hop and Rap artists are black do you think that if there was no racism in the world that as many black artists and people in general would get away with charges and more rock who are generally white would not get away with charges so much?

#1: Go for it chief. Id love to see the rock star murder charges, ot when the rock star was got with a machine gun in his car, or when the rock star threathened other rock stars with loaded gun, at local convience store, at 4pm. Go forit.
#2: I have no idea what yoo goin on about racism.....it has nothing to do with this.......................eminem got into some seroius troublr with law, beacuse hes a rapper, HELL NO, beaucse hes STUPID.
Bottom Line: If you carry weapons, you deserve to go to jail, if you kill or assault someone you should go to jail, rappers are doing THESE things, its not discrimination or anything else, it justice.

I know for a fact that nobody on this message board could make it longer than a day or two in a black ghetto. Its pretty easy to judge people and talk about morality in your safe and cozy middle class home. When you grow up in that environment many people just don't give a crap. When you have been treated like garbage and been through a cycle of poverty and violence 9/10 people are gonna be messed up from it. Its sad, but not everyone one can live the american dream (wouldn't be enough oxygen to breathe on the planet if it were possible)
Alot of these rappers are singing about real life. Many glorify the violence and all that but it sells. Being rich because middle class white kids scoop up your albums beats living in the hood anyday.

Name 10 right now.
Now dont get me wrong, my main musical love is hip-hop, but "rap" artists are nothing but glorified sellouts, who want people to think they are "thugs"
Name me 10 that bring concouis(sp?) messages, about the struggles, emotionally and physcially that are taken on by many african americans in the projects.

Laugh. Are you kidding? You think Johnny Cash didn't carry a loaded gun?
No, it's not DISCRIMINATION, but this whole thread has a serous whiff of racism.
Rock and roll heroes have been shooting/smoking/popping/snorting drugs, beating/killing their wives, committing crimes, carrying guns, shooting and getting shot, and acting like/being criminals since Day 1.
Whitebread rock stars like Jerry Lee Lewis, David Bowie, Eddie Van Halen and Tommy Lee make Snoop Dogg look like a Boy Scout.

i dont know, and i dont wanna know...........but i know the degredation of women is big in mainstream "rap" and that aint cool in my books.
One of my FAV artists, a hip-hopper named cee-lo makes refernece(in a couple of tracks) of how EVERY mainstream artists talks about women as ho's, bit**s, and sl**'s, why hes says, would you do that when your duaghter will grow up into the same world???
Think about it....................i gotta go so i cant enlighten any further
