Since I don't have a blackberry I don't know. I know with telus it's a pay per download kinda thing.

With my phone I have a removable memory card that I can download to, so i download images to it to use as backgrounds

What I had to do to get themes/wallpapers on my phone (provider is telus), I had to find themes/wallpapers that worked with my phone, then use bluetooth to get them on. Otherwise, if you try to download from any site other than what telus provides, the phone wont let it take.

Not sure if it is the same for blackberries though.. but it could be.

I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a push NHL scores application. Realtime updates sent to your BB for quick review. Free of course. The Score's app doesn't refresh realtime. I expect more from a Canadian company.

NHL Alerts is slow and they charge you per text.

with the 8703e (if I'm thinking of the right one) you can't upload pics/mp3 directly with usb. To upload your own stuff you have to send it as an attachment to an email you can get to with the blackberry. http://www.tuneusin.com is a website i've used in the past for ringtones and stuff.

i've also used tuneusin as they have lots of stuff posted already on there for the 8703e, both pictures/wallpapers, and music ringtones. Works great and you don't pay a thing besides when you download onto your phone for the data time. But you don't get "charged" anything. LIke a basic 4 mb per month it takes up some of the allowable space for that month when you download a tune or pic. but tuneusin doesn't charge you anything.

As mentioned by T I M if you upload or email the host on the site of a song or picture you want they will host if for you or cut the song so its a ringtone at no charge. So very good site if you own a 8703e because going to the main browser to download stuff is very limited on this phone.

The movie clips for ringtones are great too if you like movies like anchorman, old school, etc etc.


I recommend going to the site on a computer, and seeing what page you need to go to on your phone to download what you want. once you know the layout of the site go there on your phone and hit save on your phone once you've selected the song/pic you want. it will go into your phones Music or Pictures vault.
