I don't care if my team got a point.... They fired 35, I repeat, thirty-five shots!

Hawks seems to be slowly but truly finding their chemistry again. They've outshot Jackets 35-26 in regulation only to have Sullivan scoring tying goal with 17 seconds left in 3rd and Marleau scored in OT. This OT loss can't bely the fact that Hawks are back on track!

11 opportunities were enough for Hawks laughable PP to put one in the net. Ryan Malone scored his 3rd of the season, all 3 on PP, when Martin Gelinas got a miscound for injuring Andy McDonald. Malone scored 3 of 4 Hawks PP goals this season.

With departure of Souray, Stanislav Neckar once again stepped in big time, logging 22 minutes of ice time, posting assist, +1 and leading all skaters with 5 hits.

"Neckar is very valuable player for Hawks", commented Pointman. "He's no longer shopped and we expect him to become permanent squad member"

Next up is tomorrow against Flames and only Sullivan's fluke goal with 17 seconds to go kept Flames one position higher than Hawks in the standings. Think about it before making predicions

Hawks GM refused to agree with the standings in the part that Hawks have 5 games loosing streak.

"It's wrong to count OT losses in losing streaks. This way team can have 5 points in 5 games on sucn a 5 games losing streak. Loss is when you got no points."

The Predator's win again with another dominating performance by all around.

Hasek with his league leading 3rd shutout of the season and Jagr with his 7th goal.

6 game winning streak and counting!

Columbus still managed to pull off a win after being treated to a refereeing show that must have featured Fraser and Watson...

Columbus PK crews showed they are among the top of the CPHL stopping 10 of the 11 powerplays in its tracks.

Timely goals by Dupuis, Sullivan and Marleau, combined with the excellent tending of young backup Sebastien Caron led Columbus to their hard fought win.

Next up is Colorado at home.

It doesn't take top PK to do that...

1/11 is HIGHER than Hawks PP% this season

You are way too high on Hawks PP. Before this game they were even - i.e. scored as many goals as conceded - and needed about 20 opportunities to put the puck in the net.
