A nice place to stay in Edmonton...now you are just asking way too much

I would just check out hotels.com and find one in your price range closest to the Rexall. I then usually check out the actual hotels website as you can sometimes find it for a cheaper price directly from them

137 avenue and 50 street offers a Best Western that is newly built in the last couple of years. It's very close to the LRT, and many restaurants for eating/drinking after the game. I have no idea what it costs, but it being where it is, it can't be that expensive. That is my recommendation. Close enough to Rexall, but far enough away to be out of the hood.

Campus towers is basic no frills but offers rooms with Kitchens for a decent price and you are close to the LRT and Whyte Ave

Stay in Leduc. Better to handle the nonsense that is Edmonton traffic at 11:00 at night than any time during the day.

If you want downtown I'd say the Westin or the Delta in City Center mall. Both are close to LRT stops. Plenty of eats & drinks on Jasper Ave. or 104th Ave. On Whyte Ave the Varscona is good - there is also a new hotel on Whyte but I don't recall the name (the Met maybe?). Staying on Whyte is good if you don't mind the walk from the U of A LRT stop.

Seems like Ramada is simply a good chain to stay away from altogether. A friend of mine got eaten alive by bed bugs at the Ramada in Clairmont (just north of Grande Prairie). Their response was "it was your fault."

Our company responded by removing them from the list of approved hotels.

I find that all hotel chains have kinda taken a leap in the wrong direction when it comes to cleaning and customer service.

I have stayed in $300/night to $89/night from Seattle, Vancouver and Calgary and have found it doesn't matter what price you pay you are going to get the same shi*y bed with the same shi*y service.

I wont even get started on the events that happened on my weekend down in Seattle with the a Hilton hotel.
