Trying to forget about last season wont be easy. After making it to the conference final the season before and pushing the Minnesota Wild to 7 games the club expected better results. Detroit finished well out of the playoff race and had little to get excited about looking ahead to this season. However with only 10 players returning from last seasons disaster we believe the fans again have something to look forward to.
The biggest difference on the team will be in net. Going most of last year with rotating Johan Hedberg and Mike Dunham neither tender could step up to the plate. Now with a legitimate #1 goalie in Marty Turco it allowed the club to turn there attention elsewhere during the off season. The second biggest downfall after a goalie would have to be the teams defense. We were able to add some veteran players through trades and free agency and feel this is the best defensive corps we've seen in Detroit since Guns took over as GM.

Now for anyone interested in Klemm he is on the block but I would need a fairly good return. Either a 1st round pick and prospect or a player rated about the same but 20 years younger. Everyone should be getting about 5 emails each over the next couple days with some offers! (lol just kidding jimmy. But I couldnt resist)
