Well after spending...time and money in Lost Wages, Flames GM Axmann has returned in a completely soured mood.
Not only have the Flames been playing "crap"py hockey, but when asked of his teams recent plight, Axmann had only this to say.."Hit ME"!
"There is only one person on this team that is safe and we all know who that is" Axmann said, everyone else is available like an expensive call girl on Freemont Street.
When asked what the asking price was for certain players, GM Axmann responded by saying that cash will need to be included to pay off markers around Las Vegas.
Plane delays also contributed to Axmann "dicey" mood. "Well, we were all at the airport waiting for our flight at 8:00AM and at 10:00 as we hoping to board, Sky Service informed us that the plane had mechanical problems in Calgary and would be delayed by a couple of hours. At that time we were offered $10.00 meal vouchers which Axmann quickly traded for $8.00 bucks to have a final spin on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine. Needless to say, Vanna didnt spin the proper letters.
At, 2:30PM, Sky Service advised all passengers that the plane would not be coming and that Air Canada had been hired to fly to Vegas to pick up the passengers. However, Air Canada, would not be arriving until 8:00PM. At that time, Sky Service brought in buses and shipped everyone to the MGM Grande. With Buffet meal ticket voucher in hand, Axmann quickly dispatched that for $20.00 bucks. While searching the multi coloured carpet in the middle of the MGM Grande, Axmann found another $1.43 and set out for the nearest roulette table.
Parlaying $21.43 into $630.00 in a matter of minutes, Axmann quickly turned his sights on yet another pretty casino waitress, er..I mean blackjack table and just as quickly turned the $630.00 into $10.00. At this time, Axmann was trying to get a marker on Jarome, but apparently the Casino doesnt take live people as security.
At 7:00PM, the busses pulled in front of the MGM Grande and Axmann and staff were back on their way to the airport. Boarding commenced at 8:30PM and we were finally in the air at 9:10PM. Arrival in Edmonton was at 1:20AM and Axmann proceeded through Customs. The day had gone bad enough, but then it took an even worse turn.
Asked about the two dollar floozy packed in his carry on bag, Axmann replied, I needed someone to centre the first line.
Arrival at home was 4:15AM....Here's looking at you, kid!
