Default Elie Manitoba Tornado

Recieved these pictures from a family friend in Manitoba.

He didn't indicate who took the pics however.

awesome pics!

I would cry myself to sleep for years if I saw a tornado and didn't have my camera with me.

Before that tornado hit Elie, one formed about 25 miles west of there - just north of my parents house. They got a phone call from a neighbour to say one was north of their house, so they got in the truck to go take a look. while watching a second tornado formed. That's when they decided to go back to the house, grab some stuff and head into town. One of those tornados took out a shed/grain bins about 4 miles from their house and about 10 hydro poles, but not the damage that happened in Elie.

Apparently mom got good picture but my parents are completely computer illiterate, so I've yet to actually see them.

THat video is cool

Poor camera work... probably because there a freaking tornado about a half mile away. Probably a little windy.

They just confirmed this today - this tornado was the only confirmed F-5 rated one in Canadian history. Wind speeds up to 510 km/h. Wow.

That was crazy near the end where it split into multiple funnels a few times.
