Wow. I admit I know jack about the opera, but I did watch Luciano on more then one occassion. RIP.

Yeah, opera music does nothing for me, but I'm sad to see someone who made so many people happy die way too soon. Sad day.

Sad day for sure, don't know much about Pavorotti but he could surley carry a tune. RIP

I really only saw him perform at the opening ceremonies of the 2004 games in Athens, but man could he sing. RIP.

As someone who appreciates opera, this is a big loss. Losing such a great talent is a shame. My Condolences to his friends and family.

It is a sad day indeed in the music world. No matter what genre of music you appreciate, this man had a gift and he shared his huge talent with millions. He will be sorely missed. I saw him live once, was looking forward to a second time but alas, was not to be, he was stricken with cancer and never recovered.

I think it says alot, when I'd say most of us have never listened to opera, but everyone knows who Pavarotti is. Sad to see a great performer go.
