West Edmonton Mall passes sniff test
CHED News Update
A "major" US retailer plans on setting up shop there. Guess it won't stink so bad anymore.

Wow...
Wonder if they'll put it next to the Lacoste store so that they can quarantine all the metros into one section of the mall.

There have been lots of bigger name stores entering WEM in recent years. Heck, Calvin Klein is opening an underwear shop soon.
Guess they all want to take advantage of the rich economy.

Plus they've found a great test market for their new line of mustard-stained wife-beaters.

I honestly have never seen what is so great about WEM, and I'm not even saying that because I hate the city.

Do they still have the killer whales there? OR were they dolphins?
Wow that guy on the bath works site is hilarious. You couldn't pay me enough to lean on a giant pumpkin and take my picture.

As long as it's not a JC Penney, my wallet is safe. My wife would kill for that place!

As long as Sears/Bay are here, J.C. Penny isn't coming to Canada. Good thing too, we're already enough Americanized.
That's why I appreciate Zellers.

You appreciate Zellers? Why?
Is it the dirty shelves, the lack of price tags, or the disorganized layouts of the stores?

It's about time Bath & Body Works came to Canada. I bought a bunch of hand soaps there once and put them throughout my house, and I don't think there's anything else I've been complimented on more.
Re: WEM, when I first moved to Calgary, I wanted to go there as I've heard for years how great it was. I was really disappointed - the style is stuck in 1982, and yeah, it's a big mall, but some retailers have two or three different locations in the mall. Big deal.

My gf in TO would be very excited. I went to Miami last year and bought her several bottles of sweat smelling hand creams from there.
I kind of like the Sweet pea hand lotion one myself...

Couldn't you just make that yourself? Maybe wear some winter gloves or something.

HBC and Zellers are owned by an American investor.
And I dont know why someone would get excited over JCP.
