Default Road Hockey Rumble

Anybody heard of this show? It's on OLN right now and it's friggin' HILARIOUS. I am laughing my ASS off. Two hockey fanatics travelling across Canada stop in small towns and draft road hockey teams of locals and play against eachother with a case of beer for the winners and some kind of funny punishment for the captain of the losers team.

For anybody interested, my digital box is telling me that it's on again tomorrow with 2 episodes from 2:30 to 3:30pm, Saturday from 4:30 to 5pm and Sunday has another double header from 3:30 to 4:30pm.

Bloody hilarious!

Good to see the boys from Fruitvale lay a whoopin' on those poor saps from Trail in the first episode tonight.

Lots of familiar faces on the teams and on the show tonight. Strange I never heard anything about this until on the radio driving to work today, thought I would have heard something when it was being taped last spring.

They are re-showing the entire series again on OLN (44)

Just a free bump for an awesome show.

I think the road hockey rumble is the first time Fruitvale has beaten Trail at anything in 20 years.

My favourite episode was the People Who Like Toronto vs. The Rest Of Canada. I swear I laughed from start to finish of that one.

They need to do a battle of alberta, maybe play it in Red Deer, make it a best of 7 series, and allow fighting.

I'd play.

Hilarious, especially where Mark turns into a pimp.

That was actually in New Brunswick I believe. That is where Canada's GST center is located. I cant remember the actual city's name.

They had a show up by Edmonton somewhere, I forget, and one of the players didn't show up and was replaced by the ultimate ringer in Wade Redden.

I love this show it is so funny. It cracks me up from start to finish. It's a really creative idea for a show and I would love to see them do it again.

The one with Trail vs Fruitvale in it has an interesting punishment at the end. They tied the host from the losing team to the front of a motorhome and drove it through a parade as a float. The good part is that he was tight up in his underpants, and given just a goalie mask and safety goggles to wear and the other team got to throw tomatoes at him. The real kicker is that one of the guys (Kissok) has a cannon of an arm. He's a pitcher for the men's baseball team there and can throw some serious heat. Watching him throw, he wasn't holding back. Tomatoes are pretty soft, and I would generally just be pissed at the mess that would result form getting hit with one, but Kissok was throwing to hurt...and I think it did. I think he brother was drafter last year to MLB as a pitcher.

The best one I've seen so far (and will see again i suppose) is the "Moncton Takeout"

Picture you in your gaunch with a cup on sitting on the button.

At the other end.........

Olympic Gold Medallist russ Howard and a 30 pound curling rock.....

I almost pissed myself laughing at that one......

Yeah, his brother Chris was taken this spring by the Phillies. Darrin has a great arm as well so I'm sure that must have hurt a little bit.

You're obvoiusly close by, so next time you have a chance, take a peak at the banners hanging in the Cominco Arena since 1970, and then compare to the B.V. Arena. It's not even close, though it was more competative for a while.

One of the ones Darrin threw hit him square in the face mask, then exploded all over his face.

Trail puts up banners for bocce tournaments, spaghetti eating contests and mowing their lawns.

Besides, a lot of Trail teams recently have had Fruitvale kids integrated into the teams, along with Rossland players.

You're welcome for the infusion of talent.

Is it true that they are putting in a monorail to connect Fruitvale to Trail?
