Default Does anyone have a cool flames logo or picture that would make a good tattoo?

I am heading to Vegas for a week on Monday and I am planning on getting a tattoo. I'll be a Flames fan for life so I think thats what I want to get done. I'd like something special, like not just the logo but something cooler and unique. If anyone has any pictures or ideas please post a link or let me know. Or if anyone is an artist and would like to draw something that would be sweet too. Thanks guys.

When I was younger I always wanted to get the full jersey tattoo'd on me. Big flaming 'C' on the chest, numbers on the sides and on the back.

Then colour the whole thing appropriately (the home jersey, of course).

God, that would hurt.

Wow - I'm not a fan of tattoo's, would never get one and there are very few I like.. But a Flames tattoo *shiver...* Personal opinion only, but that would rank pretty high on my terrible tattoo ideas list.

If you do it. . . well good luck, I hope you find something that works and you never regret.

I agree

However, I would be willing to make an exception if you go for the full body jersey...

If you really want a Flames logo on your body, I'd consider getting a branding. They're less obvious, personally I find them to score lower on the 'hillbilly-om-meter' and the symbolism is classic: you've been burnt-scared by the FLAMES.

What if the team moves or folds?

You have to think, you're going to have this for your entire life. The team's only been in existence for 26 years, if you live for another 50 years... anything can happen.

Or you move and they fold. As a former die hard Jets fan, I would feel pretty silly with a logo of a defunct team on me.

Also keep this in mind; and I say it as a buddy and not to be preachy. I'm going to guess you are in your early 20's- let's say 22. Now think back 10 years ago- to 12 years old. If you could have gotten any tattoo then- what would it have been? Pokemon? Transformers? Bart Simpson saying "Aye Carumba!"?

The thing is- you may think you are all grown up. Don't worry we all thought that at your age. But in reality you do as much growing up between 22 and 32 as you did the previous 10 years.

Think of why people used to get tatoos- like army buddies who fought and died together. Fortunately our generation doesn't have the big threat of war like 50-60 years ago; but try to make your first tattoo something profound; something you'll be proud to show your grandkids down the road.

The real question is...who doesn't want a decepticon insignia?

I personally have a couple tattoos, but I've designed them all myself and they represent a certain aspect of either how I grew up or just really significant experiences in my life. I've never been a fan of the flash tattoos that a lot of people seem to get. If you're going to get a tattoo realize that it's there basically forever, you're going to want it to count and you're going to want it to count for a really long time.

exactly, come up with your own tatty, something tht has meaning and that you can be proud of. don't brand yourself with a logo, even if you think you are the one true superfan.

A little OT, but being on the beach this August long I have really been noticing how many people have tattoo's in Chinese. I always thought it was silly for people to get a tattoo in a language they don't speak, and which is just normal writing to somebody who does speak it, but since I've been learning Chinese I'm really enjoying checking out how many people have things that are really stupid written on their bodies, and which they probably don't even understand. It's like people think tattoos are so much more profound or something if they're written in Chinese, like it's not just a mundane language of common use to everyone who lives in China.

I think the next tattoo I get will probably have Chinese in it, but that will be in part a representation of the effort and dedication it's taking me to learn to read and write in Chinese.

My thoughts on getting a team logo tattoo:

1) Did you ever play for that team?
2) Are you a huge tool?

If you can answer yes to either of those two questions, then by all means go ahead and get a Flames logo tattoo.

I think it's just as cool to get a Flames tattoo as any others. I don't like tattoos in general and would never get one but getting a Flames tattoo wouldn't make someone a tool. All of us sit here talking about the Flames for hours everyday, so none of us have any room to talk in that regard.
