Biggest Earthquake in Calgary
What is the biggest earthquake that has been recorded in Calgary? I was just wondering and can't find it online, so maybe someone knows off the top of their head?
The biggest I can remember is one a while back where all the pictures tilted.

Biggest one I can recall is when Fotze's mom went running after the ice cream truck.
Seriously though, when was that one that you remember? I can't recall hearing about any quakes in the 15 years I have lived here.

Alright, let's continue to get more out of hand. I like it.
I remember it was about 15 years ago, it was just mentioned slightly in the newspaper and on TV, so it must have been pretty small. No damages I think.

We had a whopper up here in Edmonton the day Gretz was traded. It shook the whole city to its core. Pronger was a wee tremour in comparison.

I don't know of any earthquake happening in Calgary for traditional seismic reasons.
We have had a few where we can feel FAR off earthquakes. I remember sitting in the Info-Commons at the Uof C during that big one in Seattle ~5 years ago and all the monitors where shaking for about 90 seconds...
I also know we have had some minor tremors (<4) in nearby oil and gas fields, where huge pressure changes in the earth are accomodated every once in a while - but even that is extremely rare.
We are kind of in an earthquake free zone.
When i first read your post i thought you were kidding...
Claeren.
