Didn't Pathfinder come out today, too? It doesn't strike me as a movie with a-too-terribly thick of a plot, but anything with Karl Urban in it is good, and I love Viking stories.
Even if they're the bad guys.

I'll be picking up 300 tonight as well. I think I'll just get the regular wide screen edition. I rarely watch the extra DVD's and features that come with movies.

Why did watching 300 make me want to be in a war? That always happens to me.

HAHAHA. Am I the only one who is seeing this term for the first time? I hope not, but I think so. Funny anyway.
I'll be picking up 300 after work today. I've never seen Hot Fuzz, but I think I'll rent it.

The ending to Hot to Fuzz is worth buying the entire movie itself. The last 20 minutes or so are GOLD.

I was pretty bored for the first hour or so. Maybe it was the british jokes. But the last 20 were good.
I'll be picking up 300 today, gonna have some friends over for some 40 inch LCD & 1000 watt fun.

For sure.
The first part of the movie felt really slow, some weak british humour, but not much. The last part of the movie however, had me laughing my ass off.

It is all a build up to the culmination. I didn't find it dull at all but perhaps that is just me.

That movie started off pretty good....but got pretty ridiculous towards the end. Never really liked it.

Yeah, I understand that, but they probably could have knocked a good chunk of it out.
The movie didn't really start for me until he found the cult.

There was still lots of nakkid females too.
Speaking of which, when I saw 300 in theatres, there was this guy behind me whistling like an idiot every time there was boobs on the screen. I turned around expecting to see some 14 year old punk, but the guy was in his mid twenties and looked older than me. Then later in the movie when the violence started to pick up, he was whistling when someone got gored. He eventually quited down, which was welcome. And then at the end of the movie when all the lights came on, he was passed out! The guy was drunk at movie that started at 6. What a ######.

Those kind of people go to the Special Hell™.
Book: "If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of Hell. A level they reserve for child molesters... and people who talk at the theater."

Neither did I. It definitely picks up and becomes more outrageous in the last half, but I thought the movie was pretty solid throughout. Clearly I'm against the vast majority here when I say I saw 300 in theatres and, although I didnt think it was terrible or anything, I also didnt think it was anything special, and I have no desire to watch it ever again. As for Hot Fuzz though, that's seriously the funniest movie I've seen in the theatres in years, I'm definitely buying that.

Fair enough. You're probably just not a fan of sarcastic, deadpan British humour. It is a different sense of humour at work, especially to North American audiences. I grew up on Faulty Towers re-runs though so I love that stuff.
