Lohan arrested on DUI, possession of cocaine
I'm sure this will generate a lot of "who cares?" comments so I was almost hesitant to post it . . . . . . then again, being a voyeur to self-destruction, like slowing down to gawk at a car wreck, is something most of us find to be a guilty pastime.
I would assume jail is in the future for Ms. Lohan this time. For something with everything and access to every priviledge, what are the factors that would push one to this kind of self-destruction?

all i can say is LOL.
She won't get any sympathy from me.
Maybe the problem is that she has access to every priviledge. Nothing to do and too much money and time to party = jail time for a lot of these kids.

So much for the long stint in Rehab.
Jail time followed by becoming born again, tries to restart her career with appearances on various b level sitcoms, c level sequel movies and an exciting appearance on an infomercial for some skin care product. Finally gets a break and gets a big hollywood role, movie bombs either found dead in a bath tub of an over does. Or gets totally drunk and spirals her Mercedes Benz off of a cliff.

So, according to the article, she has already been to rehab twice this year. That seems to be working for her.
I'm torn on this; I would like to rip in her for squandering all the benefits she has had up to this point. But then I think about what Craig Ferguson said (I can't find the thread with his rant right now) and Lohan is still a person who really needs something or someone to help her get her head on straight. The thing is, she has spent so many of her formative years as a celebrity I'm not sure she has much idea what "normal" is.
The sooner entertainment "journalism" goes back to being about movies, music, and so on, and less about celebrity lives, the better off North American Society will be.

Being brought up by a pair of fataed up parents which, combined with fame and fortune at an early age, would be the likely cause.

After the Paris debacle you would think these little tarts might smarten up. I couldn't force myself to feel bad for her.

Celebrity idiots always crack me up. Hire an effin chauffeur for crying out loud. Then you can do your blow in the back seat and not worry about driving over someone.

If everyone with messed up family lives and a bit of money pulled these kinds of stunts this would be a much more fata'ed up world. At some point you have to be responsible for your own actions and the excuse of "parents" ends when you are old enough to move out and lead your own life.

Oooooo, I was reading that, PRAYING that she went all "Mel Gibson" on the arresting officer and called him/her "sugar tits". Guess I'll have to wait until next time.

You forgot about the hookers.
Seriously though, I agree with jpold, I would as well, even in chick jail, after she's done so much blow she's got a severe nosebleed and is puking.

The world could definately use more uses of the phrase "sugar tits". Is there a funnier combination of words? I think not.

Sad state. My friend was talking to the director of her new movie, the horror one.. He was saying she seemed to be rather behaved during the filming and was quite professional.
Its the freakin fame curse, young people don't adapt to it well and living in the public eye is hard for youth to do.
Imagine leaving your driveway every day with 3-5 vehicles following you, pulling up beside you.. Basically paid stalkers.
Add to this, the pressure of it all, I'm not suprised so many young hollywood self destruct.
The paparazzi should inspire new privacy laws, its gotten way out of hand especially in California where I'm sure eventually a paparazzi will end up getting someone killed by their actions.
Lohan was rear ended by a paparazzi not that long ago, just give it time before one of those nutjobs makes a big mistake.

I think the biggest thing that influences these famous kids is there parents are never normal they are all fataed up. Paris' parents are probably pretty normal, but they were probably too busy to raise their kids right. Lindsay's parents are just messed up. Bet someone like Mandy Moore has 2 normal parents who instilled morals in her vs. the debacles that raised these other kids....

Wow... how many times can a person be caught driving AND in possession of drugs without facing jail time?
