That's what I was told before I saw the first Saw. I caught it on Movie Central so I had lots of warning about the acting. The thing with the first one is that it had an interesting and inovative story that the acting was overlooked by me... except the last scene with Carey Elway (sp?). That was probably the most disturbing of the bunch.
The thing with the series is that the twist at the end is so amazingly mind blowing, and not at all out of left field, ala Vanilla Sky, The Village, etc. The stories seemed to be well planned out, regardles the gore and distrubia it takes to get to that point. Saw 3 had an amazing twist, and I couldn't imagine how a Saw 4 could be made.
