Default Sayanara. I'm leaving CP.

For a few days. I'm going camping. You really thought you were rid of me? Noooo.

Just wanted a good headline to get some traffic in this thread.

So I'm heading to my usual places in the Kootenays. Hit a few natural hot springs (though I hear my favorite one got clear cut last year while I was out of the country)(bastids). And going to chill on a few beaches.

I'm mainly wondering if anyone here has ever been to the music festival in Nakusp. Was it worth it? I'll be in the neighbourhood, so I'm thinking we'll check it out.

Also thinking of putting in a couple of days in the Skookumchuk/Wasa area. The lake is probably already pretty warm. With Sikome under construction, I'm pining for a few days at the beach to make up for lost time so far this year.

Hopefully I'll be able to check this thread this afternoon to see any possible reviews on the NAkusp music festival...

Happy weekend, cp. And rico, I'm looting your backyard today.

The memory of Jordon thinks that was a bit dramatic

Go to Wasa, man. It's a great lake for swimming and just relaxing all around.

I remember going to the natural hotsprings near Skookamchuck a long time ago, On top of the World road or something like that. Once got really drunk with 2 girls on Southern Discomfort mixed with the mountain stream water running beside them. We all ended up nekkid.

There is a place by wasa called "Lazy Lake". It's a mountain top lake, but it is really really nice. If you drive around back of Wasa lake, you will see a small little road sight that says either "Lazy Lake" or "Lazy Lake Way", or something. Just follow that road all the way up. It's about 20 - 30 min drive from Wasa. But very very nice.

Nakusp does have a few hot springs. I've heard the music fest is decent. I'm sure you could find a list of the groups on line. I've been listening to them talk about it on the local radio(Mountain FM)

arsenal... u sure you're not thinking about Moyie Lake? There's a crystal clear, mountain-top lake just up the hill from Moyie.. has a dock and everything, even a swigning rope in the distance. It's almost like a very, very large swimming pool.
