Default Help! Girlfriend Birthday Gift Advice!

So, I'm thinking I'll get the girlfriend a gift certificate for a "spa day" type of thing with one of her friends, and I want to know if anyone has any reccomendations. I can spend a fair amount of cash on her, but I wouldnt want to allot more than $200 to the spa treatment alone (if that's realistic for 2 people).

Any help on where to go is greatly appreciated, since I dont even know the name of 1 place, let alone who's good and who's not.

Thanks in advance!

http://www.oasis-spa.com/ -- One of the better ones in Calgary. Kinda pricey though.

I think a coupon for her (and her friend if you're lucky) for an hour of "alltherage" love would be better.

I think $200 for two people is a little low unfortunately.
You could easily spend that on spa treatments for one person.
Great idea though, spa days are the best!!

Swizzle Sticks is another one...my wife thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatment there (so much so, that she requested the same gift for her next birthday

Awesome advice guys, any other gift ideas would be great as I want to get her something Tangible as well. She has enough damn bling now though, so thats out of the question.

Xbox 360 and some first person shooters should go over well... and if not then you have something fun to do while she stays at her moms for a few days....

The Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt is wonderful....but expensive - especially if you want to send her and a friend. If I were you, I would just get the Spa day for her only - or for you and her - if your not squeemish about going for a massage. Or, you should drop her off and pick her up at the Spa and then take her for a nice lunch at a place like the River Cafe.

If you want to get her something tangible, think personal, but not pricey. A nice bottle of perfume that you've spent the time picking out for her....or find a nice picture of the two of you and get it framed.

Girls like the idea of the guy putting thought, rather than cash into a gift.

Yeah....what about making a meal (although that is a bit common)? And/or take a good couple of sticky notes, write all the different things you like about her, and then plaster them all over her room? Lots of ideas

Another great spa is Scentorini www.scentorinispa.com on 3rd right by Eau Claire and I agree, 200 bucks will only get you a spa day for one.

I also second The Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt - but like Cal-Gal said, it is a little pricier

Is going for a massage and whatnot even going to be enjoyable for one person to do alone?
