Hola Gurus of CP fame.

I have three questions that can be lumped into one general topic - new house!

1. I need to put up some vinyl siding - anyone recently been through this? Where is the best place to buy? Did you do it yourself, how tough was it, etc? If not, have you dealt with a good pro/company that did it for you?

2. I would like to upgrade my power service to 100 A from 70 A in order to get proper insurance coverage. Same questions as above!

3. Tax considerations for rental income. Can I write down the interest being paid to carry a rental property against my working income, or can I only write it down against the income generated by the property?

I can't help you with the construction portion, but you can write off the interest on the mortgage for the rental property. If you are interested in a way that you can flow this through your own mortgage and make that deduction apply there PM me and I'll explain it to you.
