Revolution Games & Music
Hey guys!
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
If you are looking for used video games, movies (DVD & VHS), music (CD and some vinyl), or fantasy/RPG books... or the ultimate source for board games, Revolution Games & Music is the best place I have ever seen.
Notably they also carry Sega Genesis, Nintendo, SNES, N64, Game Cube, XBOX, XBOX 360, Playstation, Playstation 2 and handheld (DS, PSP, Gameboy, etc.) games, systems, and accessories.
They also sell Magic: The Gathering cards and cards for most other similar games.
Revolution Games & Music
#100, 3400 14 Street NW
Calgary, AB Canada T2K 1H9
Ph. (403) 282-5200
Monday - Thurdays..............9:00am - 9:00pm MST
Fridays & Saturdays.............9:00am - 10:00pm MST
Sundays & Holidays..............12:00pm - 8:00pm MST
Best of all, they have a loyalty program where, for every $100 you spend you get a $10 credit. It's great!
Note: If this is not allowed on here, I apologize. This is a great store that I thought everyone should know about it. One of my favourite places in the city.

Nice shop. Good selection. You get a $10 credit for every $100 you spend. Not as big as Sentry Box, but you can usually find what you need here.
Any other board game geeks here?

Yeah, a massive geek here. Are there more board games at Revolution? Cause there are a ton at Sentry Box (and we've probably been through half).

A good selection at Revolutions - not as extensive as Sentry Box.

Ordered a shirt from there.
Still waiting, but the guy is nice enough so I'll probably go back and get more.

I think I do have a copy of New York Monopoly somewhere. But try these new "Euro" games - they blow the old classics away.
Good entry level games are Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, and Settlers of Catan.
Then try Puerto Rico, El Grande, Memoir '44 etc
Then, for the ultimate grognard, there is Advanced Squad Leader.

I don't play many board games but Carcassonne rules. We should have a CP Carcassonne tournament!

Like all places, you need to be over 18 and have ID.
Other than that, they look at the retail price, figure out what they can sell it for, and then quote you an amount they will pay you.
I believe, if you take store credit instead of cash, you get more.
They are very fair.

I found this place a while ago (bought my expansion for Starfarers of Catan there). Awesome place, whole heartedly recommend for those with a geeky streak in them

I'm just getting into board games, I'm looking forward to trying Catan as it seems interesting. I think I'm going to pick it up the next time I visit Revolution.
