Default Canada Day Celebrations Announced

I remember this being a hot topic on here last year.

Quote:
CALGARY/AM770CHQR - The city is being proactive after last year's controversy on whether or not there would be fireworks on Canada Day in Calgary.
Mayor Dave Bronconnier has announced afternoon entertainment at Prince's Island Park will be complimented with a program at Olympic Plaza, ending with fireworks being shot off the municipal building.
The mayor says this is unique across the country
"A 24 hour per day Canada Day celebration Calgary-style. It's free and open to the public."
...

Total costs for the fireworks this year are around $220,000.
