Prominent Liberal MP Graham announces retirement

OTTAWA -- Bill Graham, the Toronto MP who has worn several hats in his Liberal party, announced on Tuesday that July 2 will be his last day as a member of parliament.

An emotional Graham made a speech in the House of Commons, in which he thanked his family, staff, colleagues and electors of his riding.

Does that mean there is an election in that riding again?

Well I for one like Bill Graham. I think that he tried to do his best and he seems like an honest guy. I'm actually a little disappointed to see him go.

If I heard correctly, Bob Rae is going to run in the by-election. But this is downtown Toronto, so it should be an easy win for Bob.
