Default Prominent Liberal MP Graham announces retirement

Quote:
OTTAWA -- Bill Graham, the Toronto MP who has worn several hats in his Liberal party, announced on Tuesday that July 2 will be his last day as a member of parliament.

An emotional Graham made a speech in the House of Commons, in which he thanked his family, staff, colleagues and electors of his riding.
Does that mean there is an election in that riding again?

Like I always say, the only good politician is an ex-politician.

One of the worst defense ministers of all times, he won't be missed by me.

When you commit troops to an action and send then woefully under equiped and with the wrong colored cammo, and iltis jeeps that can't stop a bottle rocket, in my mind you deserve my complete lack of respect, and my gratitude that your dragging your butt into retirement.

Well I for one like Bill Graham. I think that he tried to do his best and he seems like an honest guy. I'm actually a little disappointed to see him go.

If I heard correctly, Bob Rae is going to run in the by-election. But this is downtown Toronto, so it should be an easy win for Bob.
