I can't believe that people actually live up here, have to respect for the Natives of the area for surviving in this cruel and unforgiving environment. Not a trace of a tree, brush or willow just some grass. Haven't seen a sign of any living thing except a few birds but they are polar bears, white foxes, caribou and muskox. There is a reason why I planned this trip in June, can’t imagine what it’s like in December.
Have you been swimming yet, you have the whole beach to yourself!
Can you imagine the shrinkage?

Wow, looks awesome! The girlfriend and I are planning to take a vacation up to the Arctic some day, there are some absolutely beautiful sights to see apparently.
It's too bad you didn't see any caribou or polar bears, is it generally really tough to get a glimpse of them up there?

Someone just told me that there are thousands of polar bear on the island, I guess there's a chance I'll see some if I head North up the coast. Just filled up the quad with gas and heading out now.
