favorite guitar hero!
Who is your favorite?
Mine is David Gilmour with all his memorable solo's. He also seems like a great guy.

I gotta go with Brian May from Queen. Incredible power riffs. Memorable lead work. Distinctive tone. He has crafted some of the most memorable Guitar riffs.

i like the variety from the edge...but i don't know if that makes him a great guitarist...or a guitarist that sounds great.

Another vote for Brian May. I'm surprised other people have mentioned him. Frank Zappa called him the best.

Another vote for Gilmour!
He may not be the 'fastest' player, but no one can write a solo like him. Well, Jimi is pretty good too.

an incredibly difficult question for me. Hendrix, Page, Iommi, Young, Rhodes, Mustaine, Hammet, Satriani. I'll take Jimmy. Bron-Y-Aur Stomp rules.
