Default Best of Calgary list 2007

For local news and other entertainment bits I pick up a copy of Fast Forward.
Apparently they had a vote for Best/Worst of Calgary. Anyways here's the results.
http://www.ffwdweekly.com/Issues/2007/0607/best4.htm

I don't think Deerfoot and Memorial is one of the scarier intersections. It's pretty straightforward and not too hard to go through going any direction. Southland and elbow especially turning from southland to elbow across traffic during the yield on green light is occaisionally nerve wracking, especially when it's hard to pick out the speeders along southland.

I haven't been to Fiasco Gelato, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions now that summer is upon us.

Best athlete

2. Mikka Kiprusoff

Ignoring the fact that the order of those two should be reversed, what does it say about this city when our top two athlete's are an Edmontonian (well, close enough) and a Finn? :P

Without looking at a map, is that not the road that is atop Crescent Heights affording a view of the river, park, downtown, and in the distance the mountains.

Yeah, it's the road in Crescent Heights that runs along the hilltop overlooking the river and downtown. Right above Prince's Island and the Curling Club.

Loved that the Stampede was one of the biggest embarasments.
There were quite a few categories where I am sure there were only 2 or 3 possible answers anyways, or maybe I am just not the "with it" anymore.

Facebook, how I loathe thee!!!

In general, I think the list (with very few exceptions) is much more of a best of downtown and area list than a best of Calgary list. Pretty much what I expected of FF Magazine.

Great reading comprehension skills. I was referring to the fact that they put Shag as the #1 golf course in the city.
