I picked up the 22inch LCD monitor 2 dell days ago. If you can get it for under $300 it's an excellent monitor. Free shipping too.

Thanks for notifying us about that. I got some nice inexpensive wireless phones for the house a couple of months ago via days of deals.

Does Dell typically have deals on whole computers? Or is it just for components? Specifically the XPS.

I'll let "How Stuff Works" explain the science:

My dad has a set of the Bose headphones and it's incredible when you flip the switch and...silence.

I have some Phillips Noise reduction headphones (not the model being sold) and they don't work quite as well as Goon's father's.

They do a pretty good job dampening any type of white noise, but speech or any other regular sounds just get a bit muffled. These type of things are ideal for frequent flyers.

If I had to do it again, i wouldn't get noise suppression headphones again. I'd probably go for something that gives noise isolation, like some of the in-ear buds (like Shure offers).

But that External Hard Drive is a great deal. I bet that sells out.

I picked up that hard drive as I needed something to back up all my pictures. Currently, I have to use 2 regular dvd's to do it... Pain in the arse!

I should have totally waited for this day...

I have a 300GB Maxtor external... costs me $250... that could get me 750GB of extra storage if I bought it today on days of deals...!!!

They really have nothing I need right now... so I shall wait til Tomorrow.

I was so tempted to get another 24" screen yesterday to use on the MythTV box I built. I picked up an external HD on the last Dell Days (the Small business one last month), but that is a great deal and it isn't like you can have too much storage.

Did you buy that at Futureshop or something? NEVER EVER buy harddrives at a retail big box store.

You can get a 500GB harddrive for $230 at a dedicated computer parts place like memory express. And then an enclosure for $40!

Thats where I got it... MemEx... but... its an external... I was looking at the HD and enclosure option... but thought no... maybe its cheaper now... because altogether, it was $250 before tax, I also bought a 2GB USB stick at the same time and it all came out to just around $300.

I just about bought the HD.... but thought to myself... self, what's the point of backing up to a hard drive that is from a company I can't find history on and only has 1 year warranty.

So I kyboshed that idea.

There's also a Lacie for $120, which is a good name and a pretty good deal as well.
