Default Legal recourse over leaking skylight?

So here's the story... last year when we had our massive flooding, my skylight leaked all over my bed. I called my landlord and he apparently 'fixed' it. Well, it's leaking again. Lovely. All over my bed again. They said it was fixed, and now that my bed has been soaked, are they at all responsible for replacing the thing? Should I call my renter's insurance and ask them if I'm covered? Who's responsible?! I need a new bed, damnit!

The new goggles also do nothing.

The landlord is responsible for the building, but your contents would be covered by your renter's insurance.

If it was me and I fixed it wrong, I'd probably take some responsibility, but of course not all landlords are like that. Then again I'd get a contractor to fix it properly.

We have a specific place to sign in our rental agreements if they don't have content insurance so they know it.

Well I guess my renter's insurance will cover it... I checked with the little booklet they gave me. I assume it falls under 'leaky roof' even if it's a skylight. Just ticks me right off that they claimed to have fixed it, and now my bed has flooded again. Ah well. I needed a new one anyways.
