Default Shuswap advice (camping/kayaking)

Hey guys, I was just seeing if anyone knew of any good kayaking between Calgary and Shuswap lake. We would prefer to find one of those places where they fully set you up, ie: everything is setup for you, so you don't have to have more than one vehicle and deal with tying kayaks to your roof etc.

Also, if anyone knows of where the best places to camp are around shuswap lake. We would prefer to be right on the beach. Currently I'm googling shuswap trying to find some beaches and campsites that actually give some good pictures of the place. Oh, and we would also prefer to have bathrooms and showers obviously.

Thanks in Advance.

I used to go to Scotch Creek. It's a great place if you're looking for traditional camping (ie, in a campground, showers, b'rooms, family enviornment). There's a provincial campground that may seem expensive, but the beach is really nice and the services are also very good.
It is on one of the lakes, but I can't remember which one (Adams Lake perhaps?). It is about a 20 minute drive from Chase, B.C. And maybe 35 minutes from Salmon Arm. For paid camping, I recommend it very highly.
It is right on a beach, has paved roads and there are some stores and whatnot very close. If you're in a car, or a truck you want to keep scratch-free, this place is perfect. You can also rent bicycles and I think you can rent canoes, too.

If you do end up checking out Scotch Creek, for a day trip, I recommend driving up to Albas Falls. It is about an hour past Scotch Creek. Beautiful falls, time very well spent.

Another place you may want to check out is Silver Beach. Beautiful, fine sand and a sunny, south facing beach. I'd elaborate further, but I only know how to get there via houseboat. I don't know what campgrounds are there or even which road to take. Google it, I guess.

ps, they'll probably recommend making a reservation @ Scotch Creek. It is good advice. I've burnt quite a few days on the waiting list.
