How long were you a lurker?

With Hot Sauce finally joining after years of lurking, I thought I'd ask everyone this question.

How long were you lurking the CP forums before you finally started posting as well? And how did you hear about CP in the first place?

In my case, my buddy told me about CP around Dec/03 but all I went here for was to check out the prospects and all the stats on the Flames. It took him a couple weeks to convince me to check out the forums and once I did, I started posting right away and haven't looked back since

Yeah basically. I was just searching for Flames pics and stumbled upon the site.

Took me about 4 months before I started posting on the site... was only a reader prior to that.

I found this board several years ago by searching for hockey trades near the deadline. I think the board has been through about four format changes since I've been a lurker and rare poster.

Registered almost immediately after stumbling across the site (found it via Google IIRC). I was posting on crappy sites before and always found it frustrating. I read a couple posts on this site and immediatley had a need to weigh in with my 2 cents.

Same thing with me pretty much. I found the old site just by searching for Calgary Flames stuff on the internet.

Of course, if my memory serves me right, you didn't have to register to post back then. You could enter any handle you wanted, but I think your ip adress was at the top of every post.
