Yah, exactly. Why not just hit up grocery, liquor stores etc for boxes? If they have them at the time, most places are more than willing to get rid of them...for free, or maybe a small donation to a charity or something (i.e. into one of those spare change donation things they have at the checkouts etc).

Liquor stores usually get shipments on certain days. When I moved last I went on on a Thursday and got a mountain of boxes.

Not sure what part of the city you are in but down by southland leisure centre there is a liquour store that puts them at the front of the store for people to take. I am sure others do the same.

Yup. Liquor stores is a good idea. Also, you can get apple boxes from grocery stores easily.

Or, if you work in a decent size office talk to the people in IT. Where I work they pay people to take away the boxes; and the type that computers come in are good and sturdy; many with handles.

Toys R Us is good about hooking folks up with boxes if you ask. Lots of different shapes and sizes. That's where I got most of my moving boxes from.
