Default NBA Draft Lottery

Exciting stuff!!! ...for anyone who really follows the league. My prediction is like this:

#1 - Boston
#2 - Seattle
#3 - Memphis
#4 - Philadelphia
#5 - Milwaukee

Phoenix had a protected number 1 pick from last seasons trade - does any body remember the details?

The Atlanta one had to fall out of the Top 3 or something, for Phoenix to get it.

Because the Suns missed out on this year, dont they get an unprotected first round pick next year?

Celtics are screwed. It was Greg Oden or bust. You can't blame Paul Pierce if he asks for a trade now, he's in a bad situation that's only going to get worse.

That is correct.

Exactly what I was thinking. Doc Rivers gets an extension and he misses out on Oden/Durant. Someone should put this guy on suicide watch.

Seattle and Portland were the two teams tossed around the media here briefly about potentially being targeted by a BC ownership group which wanted to bring an NBA team back to Vancouver.

I am a hawks fan and man I don't think there's a chance in hell Portland or Seattle takes the #3 and #11 for the #2 or 1 but here's hoping...

hahaha... Sorry, that ain't happenin. You and the other 28 other teams looking to trade up for one of the two kids!! It's too bad for a team like the Hawks, however, the way that team is run, I'd expect them to mess up Greg Oden or Kevin Durant somehow.

I actually think the Hawks are only a a decent pg away from the playoffs. Josh Smith needs to be more consistent but he can be a star. Joe Johnson is a star. Pachulia is a good enough center in the east. Childress and both Williams are good enough role players with Marvin Williams pushing at Smith for starting. I could see the Hawks pick Conley at 3 even if it is somewhat of a reach or pick Wright or the Chinese guy at 3 and go with Acie Law at 11. Whatever they do be it trade or draft they need to come away with a pg, I don't even care if it's Law who I don't think will be that good, but at least they are trying.

I believe this is the case, however, I am sure they would have preferred to get the pick this year because this draft is very, very deep. Then again, next year's is shaping up to at least have more 'superstar' talent than last year's did, with OJ Mayo, who will be playing at USC () and many others who will be coming out.

The draft this year is so deep that Georgetown's Roy Hibbert will be staying for his senior year solely because he feels he could go from being a Top 10 (maybe) pick to Top 3 next year ... and Hibbert is an excellent player.

I mean, you have, what, 4/5 of the Gators' starters coming out this year? Yeesh - I wish the Raptors could have gotten even 3rd overall THIS year as opposed to 1st last year!
