Getting Pictures Printed...
I tried doing a search to see if its been talked about before but came up with nothing.
From your expereience what is the best/cheapest place online to get digital prints printed?
Or would it be worth buying a good printer...is it that much cheaper in the long run??
Thanks!

FutureShop's quality isn't too bad actually. Some people like Costco as well.

I ended up buying a printer to do the regular small stuff. For anything over 8x10 I go to a professional. I bought the Canon Prixma iP4300 and it works great. I've never worked out the cost, but for me it's really convienent since I probably print 10-15 photos a month.

I won the MP500 in a work draw, for the few pictures I print it's fantastic.
I've had good experiences with Future Shop, London Drugs, and to a lesser extent Staples (mostly just use their copiers for free cause I work there though).

My parents have been thrilled with the developing they get for the 8x10's at the Douglasdale/McKenzie superstore - they were really VERY disappointed with the Superstore in Country Hills though.

Fotki.com is where I host my pics, and they have extremely reasonable printing prices. I haven't gotten any, personally, but I'm told they are great quality

I go online to Costco.ca all the time, upload the pix etc and get them printed and just pick'em up when I go shopping and they're only $0.18/print or so for 4x6". Costco is no hassle/fuss and you can store pix up there too like an online photo album for later on.
I like the quality better than what you can get from Walmart personally and hate the idea of spending money on the cartridges for the colour printers....

Last time I worked out the cost I estimated it was about 50-75¢ per photo to print at home.
I also use the Superstore in McKenzie Towne, but I usually take the SD card in and order them, and go back later to get the photos.

I've used Wal-mart and Costco, but haven't been to pleased. They're all right, but really picky when it comes to the quality of my photos. So far, I've got the best quality from Black's, but they're also the most expensive.

Thanks for everyones input!
I also wanted to let some of the photographers know I found a few websites that seem pretty cheap and give free samples so I am gonna order the free ones and see how they turn out.
http://www.kodakgallery.com (20 Free 4X6)
http://www.shutterfly.com (15 Free 4X6)
http://www.dotphoto.com (50 Free 4X6)
http://www.futureshop.ca (10 Free 4X6 or a Free Calendar)
http://www.bestbuy.ca (10 Free 4X6)
I am going to try Costco and Walmart too...the photos seem to be so cheap that it would be worth getting a few different copies from each place to see and compare.

You could also go to different sources for different photos.. use Costco for your general day to day stuff, and Blacks when you need a good quality print for example.
