Egypt and Jordan to take control of Palestine?

Well the Palestinians have again proven to be their own worst enemies. Now with civil war at their doorstep people are saying that the Palestinians are unable to govern themselves.

Some Palestinian analysts predict that a collapse of the Palestinian Authority would pave the way for Jordanian custodial rule in the West Bank and a similar arrangement for Egypt in Gaza.

Go figure.

Maybe this would bring some stability and normalcy for the people there. Its sad to see people have to try to live with this.

This is something that I've always said needed to take place right from the start, but the political fallout caused by Palestine was too juicy for Egypt and Jordan to resist so they let the situation stagnate for too long.

I very much doubt that Egypt and Jordan turning Palestine into some kind of protectorate will actually cause peace and stability, its more then likely that the radical groups in Palestine will turn against any government that comes in to replace the palestine authority.

Interesting development. I like the idea, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Could lead to a pretty widespread problem is shots are fired.
