Default Movies on UMD (PSP)

I've seen them for sale at Best Buy and such, but is there anywhere in the city that rents out movies on UMD?

UMD is just about dead. Most studios outside of Sony have announced that they are reducing or eliminating support for the format due to poor sales.

It is about to take its place next to Sony's mini-disk and ATRAC.

I know that Blockbuster did at one time, but with the format twitching it's death twitches... I'd be surprised if you can find them for rental.

Are there even component players for the UMDs so you can watch them on your TV? I mean, who wants to buy a disc that you can only watch on a tiny PSP screen?

Do you mean rip a DVD into a MPEG file and then dump that on the memory card in my PSP?

Yeah, there is a well known program for doing that.

2 freeware programs that are commonly available, and a PSP with enough memory to hold the movie.

Thanks for the info in the PM, I'm going to look into that. Hopefully I can get it figured out by the weekend. Leaving for the Arctic for a week and was hoping to have somehting to watch during the downtime.
